The eraser is a fat stainless steel cutter and shaper to be used on the large makita die grinder. It has a flat nose to help make large flat spots deeper into the ice. This bit will remove excess ice faster than any other tool made for diegrinders. With having 5 flutes instead of 4 it has more of a burr feel when shaping which gives more control and less vibration in the ice than it would being a 4 flute bit. This bit eats too much ice to be used on a small diegrinder.

In 1999 the zip cutter was the forerunner to the Brice bit but was abandoned because of the lack of plunging ability and the amount of time it takes to make. I've made hundreds of prototypes of different Brice bits and scores of refinements to existing Brice bits to try to achieve the smoothness and control of the zip cutter. With this new model I've used the same plunging tip as is on the magic wand and made it longer and slightly thicker so as to use it on the big makita diegrinder. I made this bit for personal use rather than the open market but when my wife Heather became addicted to it as much as me, I decided have a few of them made so as not to ever be without one. It is more expensive than the Brice bit as it has almost 3 times as many teeth, but if you want absolute smoothness it is worth it.

The face bit is a stainless steel shaping bit with a slightly concave edge and a round nose. It will shape quickly and smoothly without leaving any hard lines. It shapes nicely like a burr but dose not ice up and it leaves a snow free surface.

Ideal for sculpting faces, these bits are made by Steve Brice himself

I recommend this bit be used on the Makita die grinder 600 with a small shaft adapter

Rotary Knives, Stainless Steel 

The Rotary knife or sometimes known as the Junichi knife is a hardened stainless steel bit that is good for line floating, shaping, and detailing. It has a concave edge instead of a straight edge that allows dishing out as well as rounding when you are shaping and it produces a clean surface.

Custom shaft for the Makita 800 allows for the use of larger screw on bits safely and smoothly like the new adapters.  The cost is more but there are advantages that for some carvers make it worth the extra money.
