Aluminum

Heat the Aluminum with 2 Irons

Place 2 pieces of relatively flat ice on your table

Choose a piece of aluminum that is slightly larger
than the surface of the ice

Place the aluminum on the first piece of ice until flat.

Quickly move the aluminum to the table & flatten
the second piece of ice

Quickly move the second piece onto the first.

Why do things quickly?Because you do not want to have the ice you melted refreeze until the 2 pieces are touching.
It is common at our shop to make sculptures from many pieces of ice. The sculpture to the left has 5 aluminum seams in it.
It is imperative to work with ice that is the right temperature. I recommend 15 – 28 F
